Chukwuemeka Nnawuchi is an accomplished legal practitioner with over a decade of experience in intellectual property, oil and gas law, civil and election dispute resolution. He has represented multinational corporations, such as IHS (Nigeria) Limited, Cocean Integrated Nigeria Ltd and Imo Petroleum & Energy Company Ltd, to mention but a few,and individual clients in highly contentious litigation against government agencies. In the course of his career, he has also been involved in cases which led to ground-breaking decisions of the apex Court, notably: Hon. Nnamdi Thankgod Ezeani v. Jones Onyereri & 2 Ors [2023] 9 N.W.L.R Part 1889 and APC v. INEC & 2 ORS [2023] 8 N.W.L.R Part 1887, inter alia. In 2014, he was awarded an Advocacy Master Class Certification by Sir Ivan Lawrence, QC. The learned Silk also has a background in International Oil and Gas Law & Policy at the postgraduate level and actively participated in the following conferences held in the United Kingdom: Decommissioning of Oil and Gas Fields: International Human Rights, Environmental, Economic and Social Issues, 2016; and Energy and Maritime Boundaries 2018 by Mr John Brown, Consultant, Law of the Sea, Cooley LLP. He is currently the youngest Senior Advocate of Nigeria in the history of the award of the prestigious rank, having been so conferred at a young age and at exactly 10 years post call.
